WHY I CAME
I came not to serve
Or to be a slave
But to be a master
I came not be ruled
Or to be governed
But to be a conqueror
I came not to surrender
Or to submit
But to be a mighty warrior
I came not to give away
Or to sacrifice and offer what is mine
But to claim back what is mine.

Like the wind your elegance holds no form, yet your beauty channels the winds energy as does that desolate windmill on a baron hillside.
One might say your energy can't be contained, that your aura is untamed like a fire moving at a ravenous pace.
I want to be consumed by the fire which is you, let the flicker of your flames cast enough lite to guide me to your souls genesis.
It's been said that for life to flourish water must be available in abundance;for she is the water well who has given birth to all that is life.
Through alchemy I will try and duplicate the beauty and power that is ideally you. So much is still a mystery, with time on my side I hope to explore all of your bodies terrain before your erased and your remains can't be traced.

Respect Me
Respect me because I am a person just as you are, because in order to receive it, you must give it, because I work hard and I am loyal, because of I've proven my worth, because I do all you ask, because I back-up my words with my actions, because I deserved to be as do you, because all the things I do, because we are equals, because I give it back, because who I am is true, because no matter the odds, I always overcome, for who I am, and not for who I'll be, Respect me because I can and will achieve.

STANDING DEAD
Here stands the remains of a young lady
Who poured her all. The kind fact is no maybe.
See, she put her heart and soul into everything
Only to get it smacked down... drowned out of Earth's ears as her sorrow sings.
Cause of death? None other than love.
Love for art. Praying for your strength to the Lord above.
For her, it was about more than what you may think.
Never about her. Carrying on your burdens, she began to sink...
Into the sea of despair.
Seeing what had become of her love broke her... Shattered her beyond repair.
Clues were provided. The truth was never hidden.
Don't look shocked, for she sees the payback you have give.
Silent tears held back. She tried to keep strong,
But Forever wouldn't hold on. His grip wasn't that long.
What's the moral? You still haven't gotten it through your head?
Here is a poet... and artist... who gave her all. Now standing before you...
Dead.

Did u deny me?
They say that curses and passed down through generations
so I ask are, you the cause of my frustrations?
Did you say I am not your son?
even when momma said you were the only one?
What made you pick up and run?
Some say it was drugs, but what have I done?
Did u deny my face that's like yours?
Was it to frolic with whores?
Did I hurt your dreams?
If not, why is that what it seems?
Did u deny me?
For years I denied you.
Refused to be like you.
How can I understand u?
See, I denied the lies
now I reject your cries.
Feel the pain through my eyes
in the mirror I see you
and its me I start to despise...

The change I wish to see begins with me
The change I wish to see begins with me
I am an anomaly
The last of a dying breed
Designed
Destined
Determined
to be one and only.
I am daringly different in the mist of conformity
Constantly promoting the best within me
My worst is the last you wish to see.
I am original in form
A learner from legends dead and gone
I am of a world where blind ambition leads the people wrong.
I am my past, my present, and my future
My past is behind me
My present is beside me
My future guides me.
I am a radical in plain clothes
I am a leader among clones
I am strictly who my Maker formed.
The change I wish to see begins with me
I am a writer with a cause
I am an anomaly

Society's Forced Question
I thought the world was against me
As a youngin’ I blamed society
So consequently my shortcomings weren’t because of me
It’s funny looking back at the type of mentality
And if I carried that to my present how it would hamper me
And dampen all my dreams and goals within the process
Through blessing received now I breathe a stronger concept of reality
Tragedy spoke to me in a voice only recognizable to my soul
I carry on tradition
For everybody who never got to be who they aspired to be
due to circumstances we see as society’s ills
Now I feel an obligation everybody don’t agree with
They’d rather be racing against the time reaching for "mine" meaning theirs
With no connection to the less fortunate of their peers
I can’t save them but I sure enough got a gift that can raise them
To a higher consciousness so they recognize the favor
Of a God who regardless of where you stand He’s pacing
Back and forth as that one blunt force formed for shaping
Greater trains of thought and action through passion and hard working
I was never perfect so who am I to stop searching for inspiration
Through observation of a world turning upside down
Through the rounds so many are found burning
Without direction they’re methods are off balance
Born a Libra so the sign of my zodiac keeps me acting on the scale
I seek truth and justice above everything
it really matters not to me whether its left or right wing
society lied so where does the question lie
Will I be reactive or proactive in terms of my life?

Gained Materials and Lost Values
Gained Materials and Lost Values
We value cars more than sons
clothes more than daughters
We devalue morals
placing them in the category of the least important.
When they flash that screen everybody’s up close
Attention fully paid to the jaws of confusion
using us as the gas to fuel them
Those outlets pose more of a threat to us
than ever did music.
We value guns more than family
gold more than humanity
We devalue legacy, leaving behind red trails of sweat and tears in the community
Blasting through the waves is the perpetual motion of stereotypes
We promote competition but call it “beef”
We promote dysfunctional families but call it “drama”
We value fame over honor
ego over karma
vice over virtue
In the meantime time is not cooperating
We are stagnated
searching for the gas to fuel us
We’ve been siphoned out of even the fumes
that would lead us to the station of moral salvation
Instead we are driven by the few
to the situation room of nothing new
It ain’t no new thing
Black man shot down
50 bullets sound
and they blame 50 Cent for making the crime go round
It ain’t no new thing
Blame music for keeping the crime on the block
in Texas a cop got shot
they blamed Tupac
It ain’t no new thing
It’s just more of the same thing on different days
Indeed we must value sons more than cars and daughters more than clothes
Re-evaluate our morals, placing them in the category of most important
Value family more than guns and humanity more than gold
Re-evaluating our view on legacy and the greatness which we hold
Where we came from is certainly not where we are going
Times change and with time we adapt
but some things have to be maintained for us to last
That tradition of progressing through pain
That mission to raise these kids so they don’t breed the same
That perseverance through pressure
that tried to put us to shame
Rise as a flame
ignited by the passion for change
when we lose materials and values are gained.

Poetic Memorandum
Poetic Memorandum
Witness history in the making
Pictures painted for future visuals are created
Crafted by minds determined to let golden silence shine.
Through the darkness enters a lights
Dim, but the further in, inner strength shines bright.
The release of emotion
through words in motion
True thoughts coasting.
Filled pages
Self-made phrases
Philosophical elements are evident through the pages.
Times are changing, but how can we change?
If we lack a knowledge of self
we can’t help but be blamed
in the long run.

Lorraine Audubon Phase I
Lorraine Audubon Phase I
Echoes of a dream left unfulfilled
When sounds of this magnitude ring no one is healed
This is what it sounds like when time stands still
This is what it looks like when hate turns real
John, Malcolm, Martin, and Bobby in 5 years
where did we go from here?
With inspiration slain and the people drained
times as they knew it would change
Ms. Lorraine Audubon
has affected our hearts with global pain
Our spirit is in question
Amid the depression
future revolutionaries are arrested
The unity of the community is tested
Add government drug sales that flooded the streets
Subtract multiple brothers who flooded cells in fleets
The revolution was being quelled
No means necessary would be dispelled
The movement suppressed through solutions
of death, division, and Counter Intel
That grandstanding Hoover plan
to disarm hands which rebel
Resistance led to sentences
indented into our consciousness
Deception with the perception of truth
staining the glass ceiling of a nation
embroiled in looting and raw feelings
Picture the watts when the lights went off
then the lights went off over in Newark
Now the city is charred
and filled with the national guard
armed with a curfew to create control
of an uncontrollable force
forcing the nation into regression of its thoughts
While the draftees return from the big V
to spend their days chemically imbalanced
under V A bed sheets
The balance of power greatly shifted
toward the Watergate Right’s hook
At the podium stands a crook
After Johnson’s failed Great Society attempt
the country was the hostage Nixon took
Passed bills from the latter years made it appear
as if progress was imminent through the shadows of fear
Who was to know what was near?
To be continued…
